Appeal to Haverhill incident

Police are keen to speak to a potential crime victim after a member of the public reported seeing an incident in Haverhill.

It took place on Sunday 12 May at about 4pm.

The person reported to police that outside Tesco on Cangle Road a male threatened another male with a knife. The male then handed him something and the offender then fled the scene of a BMX bicycle in the direction of Queen Street. The offender is described as white, with black or dark hair, wearing shorts and a football top and aged about 17 years old.

Enquiries are on-going to establish if a robbery has taken place and officers are keen to speak to the unknown victim to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
