Lowestoft – Appeal after dog is attacked

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Lowestoft where a dog was attacked by another dog.

It took place on Sands Lane on Sunday 12 April at about 5:30pm. A man was walking his German Shepherd dog on a lead along the road and noticed a man and a woman walking a Rottweiller dog towards him on the other side of the road. The man was trying to control the Rottweiller but it slipped its collar and ran across the road, behaving aggressively and tried to bite the German Shepherd dog, causing alarm and distress.

It is believed that the dog may live in the local area.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has knowledge as to who the owners were should contact Lowestoft police, quoting crime reference 37/20970/20.
