Two kilos of cocaine seized at Flowton

Police have charged a man in connection with drug offences, after the recovery of two kilograms of cocaine.

On Wednesday 11 September, officers from the Cyber, Intelligence and Serious Organised Crime directorate, supported by uniformed colleagues, arrested two males at Flowton near Somersham.

Over two kilograms of cocaine, cash and a Range Rover were seized.

A 54 year old male and a 33 year old male were both arrested and taken to Marltesham Police Investigation for questioning.

A further related search at an address in Harwich on Thursday 12 September resulted in the arrest of a 58 year old male and a 61 year old female.

A further two kilograms of cannabis and a quantity of white powder, yet to be identified, were seized.

Christopher Southart, aged 33 of Jamestown Boulevard in Ipswich was  subsequently charged with possession of drugs with intent to supply. He was remanded in custody to appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ court this afternoon, Friday 13 September.

The 58, 54, and 61 year old have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
