Langham - Two men arrested after suspected arson

Police investigating a suspected arson have arrested two men.

The incident took place on Saturday 7 September at around 11:00pm in a rural location near Walsham Road, Langham, near Ixworth. A number of straw bales were ablaze in what is suspected to be an incident of arson. Suffolk Fire and Rescue attended the scene and dealt with the fire. The estimated value of the property destroyed is thought to be in the region of £30,000.

Police have yesterday, Tuesday 11 September  arrested two 22-year-old men, one from Bury St Edmunds and one from Newmarket on suspicion of arson. The were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning but have now been released under investigation whiclst enquiries continue.
