Update - A140 Little Stonham fatal collision

Police can confirm that a man has died following a serious road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the A140 at Little Stonham.

Emergency services were called at just after 6:30am this morning, Wednesday 11 December to reports of a collision involving a DAF lorry, a van and a car. The male van driver sadly died at the scene. Next of kin have been informed.

An investigation into the circumstances of the collision is underway.

Electrical power to Little Stonham had to be switched off for several hours from around 11:00am to allow the lorry to be recovered.

The road remains closed in both directions and diversions are in place. The diversion route is not suitable for lorries or large vehicles. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find another route if possible.

Any witnesses – including anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident – are asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit quoting CAD 38 of 11 December.

Emergency services are currently on the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the A140 at Little Stonham.

Police were called at just after 6:30am this morning, Wednesday 11 December to reports of a collision involving a lorry and two cars.

In order for the lorry to be recovered it will be necessary for the electrical power to Little Stonham to be switched off for several hours. It is expected that this will happen at around 11:00am.

The road is closed in both directions and diversions are in place. The diversion route is not suitable for lorries or large vehicles. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find another route if possible.
