Two arrested in connection with Haverhill drug offences

Police have arrested two people in connection with drug offences in Haverhill.

Officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property at Lower Downs Slade in the town yesterday (10 July) at 12.25pm.

During the warrant they recovered around £1800 in cash, as well as large quantities of what is believed to be crack cocaine and heroin with around 180 wraps recovered. They also seized mobile phones, scales and other drug paraphernalia.

A 35 year old woman was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in supplying a controlled drug, while a 24 year old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in supplying a controlled drugs, suspicion of possession of cannabis and money laundering.

They were both taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre – the 35 year old woman was subsequently release under investigation. The 24 year old male remain in police custody.
