Little Stonham – Woman named following death at Magpie Inn

A 45-year-old woman who died following a party in Little Stonham at the weekend is being named by police.

Officers were called to the Magpie Inn on Norwich Road by the ambulance service just before 3.30am on Sunday 10 November.  

A woman was reported to be unresponsive and was receiving treatment from paramedics, but sadly died at the scene at short time later.

Pending formal Coroner’s inquest proceedings, the deceased has been identified as Irena Kuzmina, from Purfleet in Essex.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Irena’s death. A Home Office Post Mortem examination was inconclusive and further tests are required.

A 52-year-old woman from Dagenham was arrested on suspicion of murder by officers at the scene of the incident on Sunday morning. She was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and released on bail until Sunday 8 December pending further enquires.

A woman aged in her 50s who was arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Little Stonham at the weekend has been released on bail, as officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. 

Police were called to the Magpie Inn on Norwich Road by the ambulance service just before 3.30am yesterday morning, Sunday 10 November.  

A woman was reported to be unresponsive and was receiving treatment from paramedics, but sadly died at the scene at short time later. 

A Home Office Post Mortem examination conducted yesterday was inconclusive and further tests are required. 

The deceased, who was aged 45-years-old, has not yet been formally identified. A police scene which was in place at the premises has now been lifted.

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a woman in Little Stonham in the early hours of this morning, Sunday 10 November.

Police were called at around 3.30am to a property in Norwich Road.

Police and paramedics were in attendance. Sadly, a woman in her forties died at the scene.

A 52-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.

There is a police scene at the location in Little Stonham.
