S; Dog incident in Ipswich

Police car

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident involving a dog in Ipswich.

It took place on Dumbarton Road Park in the town on Thursday 5 September at 1.45pm. A female victim, aged 50, reported a large white dog, off the lead, rang towards her and her small dog.

The victim reacted by picking up her dog holding it up high. The suspect dog jumped up at the female numerous times, pulling  so hard that some of the victims clothing was pulled off. The incident has caused red marks over her back and caused great upset and distress to the victim and the small dog. The male owner did not apologise, or make any attempt to contain his dog. He then got into a white range rover and left.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Ipswich police, quoting crime reference 37/53949/19
