Burglary charge in Lowestoft

Police haver charged a man in connection with the burglary at an art centre in Lowestoft.

The incident happened at some point between Sunday 25 August and Tuesday 27 August at Lowestoft Arts Centre on St Peter’s Street.

At some point during this time access was gained to the premises by forcing first floor window with various items of photographic equipment stolen from a photographic room.

Officers carried out enquires and arrested a man in connection with the incident on Saturday 7  September and he was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

40 year old Tony Kirk of High Street in Lowestoft was subsequently charged with burglary and was remanded to appear before Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Monday 9 September 2019.
