Burglary arrest - Ipswich

A man has been arrested following a burglary in Ipswich.

The arrest follows two separate break-ins at a property in Westerfield Road. The first incident occurred last weekend, Saturday 3 to Sunday 4 August, where entry was gained by smashing a window. A number of items, including keys to the property, were stolen. 

The second break-in occurred overnight onWednesday 7 August and Thursday 8 August where the suspect is believed to have used the stolen house keys to enter the property. A laptop was among the items stolen.

At approximately 8:15am this morning, Friday 9 August, a 24-year-old man from Stowmarket was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.
