Kesgrave – Man named following fatal road traffic collision

A man who died following a fatal road collision is being named by police.

Officers were called by the ambulance service shortly after 7pm on Friday 7 June, following reports of a road traffic collision involving a silver Audi A6 car and a black Honda motorcycle at the crossroads and junction with Bell Lane, Kesgrave and Foxhall Road, Ipswich.

The motorcyclist, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to hospital. He sadly died as a result of his injuries yesterday, Saturday 8 June.

Pending formal Coroner’s inquest proceedings, police have provisionally identified the deceased as 37-year-old Craig Bedford from Ipswich.

Any witnesses to the collision should contact Suffolk police on 101 quoting reference CAD 355 of 7 June. Officers are particularly keen to hear from any motorists who may have dash cam footage.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Kesgrave.

Officers were called by the ambulance service shortly after 7pm today, Friday 7 June, following reports of a collision involving a car and a motorcyclist at the crossroads and junction with Bell Lane, Kesgrave and Foxhall Road, Ipswich.

The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and has been taken by ambulance to hospital.

Road closures remain in place in Bell Lane and Foxhall Road at this time to allow an investigation into the circumstances to take place.
