Ipswich – Robbery appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses after an 11-year-old boy had money stolen from him in the Whitton area of Ipswich.

The incident occurred between 5.30pm and 6pm yesterday, Thursday 7 November, in Chaucer Road.

The victim was riding along on his scooter, when he was approached by three older boys who asked him how much money he had and then demanded that he hand it over.

The victim felt threatened and so handed over some loose change and then one of the boys searched his rucksack and stole a portable speaker from within it.

The suspect who made the demands and searched the victim’s bag is described as follows: white, aged 15 to 16, wearing a black Nike tracksuit with the hood up. He also wore a dark-coloured scarf covering most of his face except the upper parts of his cheeks and eyes.

The two other boys are also described as white and aged between 15 and 16-years-old, and were wearing grey Nike tracksuits with the hoods up.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact South CID at Landmark House in Ipswich, quoting reference number 67684/19.
