Man arrested in Ipswich for drug offence

Police in Ipswich have arrested a man in connection with a drug offence in the town. 
Officers had reason to arrest a man on Fonnereau Road yesterday (Sunday 7 June) at about 4pm on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

He was found to be in possession of around 12 wraps of what was believed to be class A drugs and £100 in cash and what was described as a drill bit, taped to a cigarette lighter.

He was taken to Marltesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and he was subsequently released under investigation pending further enquiries.
