Appeal after boys assaulted in Ipswich robbery
Officers are appealing for witnesses after two boys were assaulted in a robbery in Ipswich.
The incident took place on Saturday 23 May at around 3pm in the Athena Hall carpark on Ballast Wharf Wall in the town. Two boys aged 12 and 13 years of age who had been skateboarding in the underground carpark were approached by two teenage males. One male assaulted the boys, stole one their skateboards and then also hit one of the boys with the stolen skateboard. Both boys sustained minor facial injuries as a result.
Both suspects are described as being approximately 15 years of age. The first male is described as of average height, of slim build, with black hair and spoke with a foreign accent. He was wearing black jeans, a black sleeveless puffa jacket, black shirt, black trainers, a black cap and sunglasses with blue/rainbow coloured lenses and blue surgical gloves. The second male is described as around 15 years of age who spoke in a foreign accent. He was wearing a blue jacket, grey shorts and white trainers and was riding a BMX bike with stunt pegs.
The skateboards is described as a small penny skateboard, with a blue plastic deck and wide red wheels.
