Ipswich - appeal after woman is assaulted

Police are appealing for information or witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Ipswich.

The incident took place yesterday, Tuesday 6 November at around 3.30pm. An 18-year-old woman walking on Wellesley Road, near to the railway bridge, was approached by four boys. One of the boys then assaulted the woman before leaving the scene.

The boys are thought to be between 10 and 12 years of age. The main suspect is described as wearing jeans and a jacket and speaking an Eastern European language.

The victim sustained bruises and was very shaken by the incident.
