A11 fatal collision - victim named

A man who died following a fatal road collision is being named by police. 

Officers were called at around 3:50am on Friday 7 June, to reports of a serious collision on the northbound A11 at Barton Mills between a lorry and a pedestrian.
 
Sadly the pedestrian, a man in his 30s died at the scene. 
 
Pending formal Coroner’s inquest proceedings, the deceased has been identified as 32 year old Philip Adams of Worlington.
 
The family have provided the following tribute and photograph.

Phil was a much loved Son, Brother, Father, Uncle, Nephew and Grandson who is going to be very, very sadly missed. Always loved and in our hearts, "remember to keep smiling.”

Police can confirm that a man who died following a serious collision on the A11 this morning was a pedestrian.

Officers were called at around 3:50am this morning, Friday 7 June, to reports of a serious collision on the northbound A11 near Barton Mills between a lorry and a pedestrian.

Sadly the pedestrian, a man in his 30s died at the scene. Next of kin have been made aware.

The northbound carriageway was closed for several hours to allow an investigation into the collision to take place. The road reopened at approximately 12:15pm.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anybody who may have any relevant dash-cam footage are asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101 quoting CAD 24 of today, 7 June.

Officers were called at around 3:50am this morning, Friday 7 June, to reports of a serious collision on the northbound A11 at Barton Mills involving a lorry.

The northbound carriageway remains closed from the B1085 at Red Lodge to the A1101 Five Ways Roundabout to allow an investigation into the collision to take place. 

Witnesses or anybody who may have any relevant dash-cam footage are asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101 quoting CAD 24 of today, 7 June.
