Lowestoft – Appeal following burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses or information following a burglary in Lowestoft.

At some point between 4.45am and 4.55am on Thursday 2 January, unknown person/s entered a property via an unlocked back door in Notley Road.

An occupant, who was in the living room, heard movements coming from the kitchen and a male suspect was then seen running from the back garden by another occupant who was upstairs. At this stage, it isn’t believed anything was stolen.

Officers would be interested to speak to a male who was seen near the front of the property soon after the incident as he may be able to help with the investigation. He is described as white and 5ft 11ins tall. He was wearing a black hat, a blue rain mac with a hood and black jeans.

It is believed that there may have been a further male suspect who was not seen but their voice was heard during the incident.

Police are also issuing a reminder to residents to ensure doors and windows are locked.
