Lowestoft – Theft from cemetery

Arsenal shirt cemetery theft

Police are appealing for witnesses after a football shirt was stolen from a grave in Lowestoft at the weekend.

The theft occurred between 12pm on Saturday 30 November and 1pm on Sunday 1 December at the cemetery in Rotterdam Road.

An Arsenal FC replica home shirt - which was red with white sleeves – and a red Arsenal scarf were stolen from a headstone. The shirt had the name ‘FELLY’ and number ‘30’ printed on the back.

This theft has understandably caused great distress to the family concerned and as such officers are appealing for it to be located and returned immediately.

Anyone who believes they have seen a shirt matching this description, or who has any information about this theft, is asked to contact the Incident and Crime Management Hub, quoting reference number 72593/19.
