Unconscious Lowestoft woman dies in hospital

A woman who was taken to hospital in an unconscious state after an incident in Lowestoft in early October has died.
 
Police were called at just before 6pm on Friday 4 October, to reports of concern for safety of a woman at a property on Fir Lane. 
 
On arrival at the premises, officers discovered a woman inside who was unconscious. She was transported to hospital via ambulance but she died last night (Tuesday 22 October) in hospital.
  
Pending formal Coroner’s inquest proceedings, the deceased has been identified as 70 year old Patricia Jurack.
 
A Home Office post-mortem will be held in due course at a date to be confirmed.
 
At the time a 70-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He has now been released on bail and is due to return to police on 30 October.

A man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in Lowestoft has been bailed by police.

Police were called at just before 6pm on Friday 4 October, to reports of concern for safety of a woman at a property on Fir Lane.

On arrival at the premises, officers discovered a woman inside who was unconscious. She was transported to hospital via ambulance and her condition is now stable.

A 70-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He has now been released on bail and is due to return to police on 30 October.
