Robbery appeal – Bury St Edmunds

Police are appealing or witnesses to a robbery that took place in Bury St Edmunds.  
 
It took place at the Coral bookmakers  at the Hardwick Shopping Centre on Home Farm Lane in the town on Saturday 2 November at about 5.10pm.
 
A male entered the premises holding a  knife, jumped over the counter and demanded money from staff.  He has made his escape, leaving with a quantity of cash, on a female's purple and pink bike ridden toward Caie Walk that was found abandoned nearby by. No-one was hurt or injured in the incident.
 
The suspect is described as a male, about five foot 10 inches tall and was wearing a balaclava. 
 
Enquiries are on-going to locate the offender and anyone who has knowledge of the incident, saw any suspicious activity should contact Bury St Edmunds CID, quoting crime reference 37/66561/19.
