Sudbury assault appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault that took place in Sudbury.

It happened on Melford Road on Saturday 24 August at about 1.30am outside The Bay Horse Inn where a 31 year old male victim was seriously assaulted by four people, believed to be three male and one female.

The victim sustained a serious head injury after being kicked and was taken to West Suffolk hospital and released on Sunday 25 August after treatment.

Enquiries are on-going and anyone who has further knowledge of the incident, saw any suspicious behaviour or who witnessed the incident should contact Sudbury police, quoting crime reference 37/50691/19.
