Man charged with Felixstowe theft

Police have charged a man in connection with a theft from a motor vehicle in Felixstowe.

The incident took place on Saturday 30 May just before midday on Maidstone Road in the town when a chain saw was taken from a Renault Master van.
 
A 29 year old male and 21 year old male were both arrested in the Grove Road area on suspicion of theft yesterday (Wed 3 June) and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
 
29 year old Nathan Smith of Old North Road in Royston was charged with theft earlier this morning.  He was released on police bail to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on 17 July at 9.15am.
 
No further action will be taken against a 21 year old man.

Police have arrested two people in connection with a theft from a motor vehicle in Felixstowe.
 
The incident took place on Saturday 30 May just before midday on Maidstone Road in the town when a chain saw was taken from a Renault Master van.
 
A 29 year old male and 21 year old male were both arrested in the Grove Road area on suspicion of theft earlier today (Wed 3 June) and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning where they remain.
 
A search of a caravan also took place and a number of items of property were recovered including two power tools, a battery power pack, various tools and air pistol.
 
Enquiries are on-going and anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area should contact Felixstowe police quoting crime reference 37/29623/20.
