Ipswich - Appeal after burglary on Station Street

Police are appealing for witnesses or information after an incident in Ipswich last night.

Officers were called at just after 6:30pm last night Thursday 2 January to reports of an aggravated burglary at an address on Station Street.

Three men entered a property and assaulted two of the residents with pieces of wood. The victims, men aged in their 20’s, sustained minor head injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment but have now been discharged.

Two of the suspects are described as being around 6 feet tall and the third man approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall. All were reported to wearing face coverings and dark clothing. Nothing is reported to have been stolen.

The men left the address in a silver coloured estate car with a roof rack which drove off in the direction of Wherstead Road.

Investigating officers believe that this was an isolated incident with no wider threat to the community.
