Lowestoft – Cannabis factory discovered

A cannabis factory has been dismantled in Lowestoft following its discovery at a house in the town last week.

On Thursday 28 May, police received information regarding the potential cultivation of cannabis plants at an address in Reeve Street.

Officers attended the location to investigate and found the front door of the property to be wide open and blood on the handle, so with concerns that someone may be injured, officers entered the premises.

No persons were found to be present inside the house, but around 100 cannabis plants were discovered growing in the upstairs bedrooms. Officers later removed the plants and dismantled the hydroponics equipment for destruction.

To date, no arrests have been made and enquiries into the matter continue. Anyone with information about this is asked to contact Lowestoft Neighbourhood Response Team quoting reference: 29102/20.
