Ipswich – Appeal following robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses or information following a robbery in Ipswich.

The incident occurred between 6.30pm and 6.45pm yesterday, Wednesday 1 April, in Alexandra Park in Back Hamlet.

The victim – a 19-year-old man – was sitting on a bench in the park when he was approached from behind by three males.

Two of the males, who had knives, then threatened the victim and ordered him to hand over a mobile phone, a ring and a bag.

The victim was then shouted at and punched under the eye before the three males left in the direction of Suffolk New College.

The three suspects are all described as male, were approximately between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins in height and were wearing grey tracksuits and masks.
