Ipswich – Appeal after serious road traffic collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Ipswich.
 
Officers were called shortly after 7.10pm on Sunday 1 December following reports of a collision in Yarmouth Road involving a car – a Toyota Corolla – and a bicycle.
 
The cyclist - a man aged in his 30s - was taken by ambulance to hospital after he sustained life-threatening and life-changing injuries. He remains in a critical condition in Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
 
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have captured any dash-cam footage of the incident is asked to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team, quoting cad reference 283 of 1 December.

Police are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision in Ipswich.
 
Officers were called shortly after 7.10pm today, Sunday 1 December following reports of a collision involving a car and a cyclist.

Emergency services are at the scene and road closures are in place in Yarmouth Road between Bramford Road and London Road while an investigation is carried out.

Any witnesses should call Suffolk police on 101, quoting cad reference 283 of 1 December.
