Witness appeal to Bury St Edmunds criminal damage

Police are appealing for witnesses to two incidents of criminal damage at a church in Bury St Edmunds.

The first took place at St. Johns Church on St. Johns Street in the town at some point between 6pm on Thursday 27 June at 6pm and Friday 28 June at 8.15am where a door was forced with large amount damage caused to it.

The second took place at the same location at some point between Saturday 29 June at 6pm and Sunday 30 June at 7.55am where damage was caused to an oak money chest and brass cross. Together, the damage caused is estimated to be in the region of £1000 damage.

Anyone with information should contact police, quoting crime reference  37/38022/19 for the first incident and 37/38030/19 for the second.
