To be able to represent and engage with the communities we serve, it’s vital that our police service is inclusive and diverse. That’s why it’s really important that people from all backgrounds, ages, ethnicities, faiths, abilities, gender and sexual orientation, apply to join the police.
As part of a national commitment to increase equality and diversity within the police force, Suffolk Constabulary are holding a series of online workshops.
We are dedicated to building strong relationships with under-represented groups and inspiring you to join our police family. Therefore if you are considering joining us as a Police Officer we would like to invite you to attended our careers events:

- Wednesday 5th May 2021 18:00pm: Yes, Police, Women in policing Careers Workshop (Microsoft Teams)
These workshops are Positive Action events for those with protected characteristics. We encourage you to sign up if the event is relevant to you, however Suffolk Constabulary welcome applications from all individuals.
During these interactive workshops, you will hear from a variety of our officers who will be talking about their experiences of joining our police service, some of the reasons which encouraged them to join, and how they have been supported as an under-represented individual within our constabularies.
Our Positive Action Recruitment team will be providing a breakdown on the recruitment process, our entry requirements and why we are committed to furthering diversity and inclusion in our workforce .
