Walk a new path

Do you want to make a difference to your community and walk a new path in life?

Suffolk Constabulary is opening its doors on Monday 10th September and Friday 26th October for you, the public to find out more about being a police officer and special constable.

And for those who can’t make it to the event, there’s an online Q&A session on Thursday 4 October from 7pm to 8.30pm on Suffolk Police’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Anyone interested in pursuing a full time or part-time career in policing or an officer considering transferring to Suffolk from another force is invited to attend the open evenings at Suffolk Police Headquarters at Martlesham Heath on Monday 10th September and Friday 26th October. The events run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Gareth Wilson, the Chief Constable of Suffolk Constabulary, will welcome people to the event. Visitors will also get the chance to discover what life is like as a serving police officer, learn more about the variety of roles in the force and meet representatives of the firearms, dogs and roads policing teams among others.  The constabulary’s recruitment team will be on hand to talk about the process of becoming a police officer, and visitors will also be able to hear from cadets and special constables and volunteers about their roles.

Visitors attending an open evening must report to reception on arrival at Suffolk Constabulary HQ.

Anybody interested in joining the online Q&A session should add their questions to the Q&A posts at Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Please tick all of the events that you wish to attend. Please note: the two events at police headquarters will be the same.
