Do you want to make a difference to your community and walk a new path in life?

Suffolk Constabulary is opening its doors on Friday 21st June 2019 and Friday 28th June 2019 for you, the public to find out more about being a police constable and detective constable.

Are you interested in pursuing a career as a police constable or detective constable? Are you an officer considering transferring to Suffolk from another force? Suffolk Constabulary is hosting two recruitment events in the month of June at Suffolk Police Headquarters at Martlesham Heath.

Detective Constable Seminar - Friday 28th June 2019

Traditionally, the path to becoming a detective constable would see entrants join as a uniformed police officer before specialising. However, Suffolk Constabulary is giving people with the appropriate transferable skills, knowledge and experience the chance to work alongside fellow detectives within six months of joining the force.

Interested? We will be delivering a seminar on Friday 28th June between 6.30pm - 8.30pm, hosted by a number of qualified and experienced officers including Detective Chief Superintendent Eamonn Bridger to give you an honest and solid understanding of what the role of detective constable entails. Information regarding the recruitment process of the fast-track detective scheme will also be covered. There will be lots of opportunities for any questions you may have throughout the evening.

Detective constable recruitment opens Monday 8 July.
