Chief Inspector and Detective Chief Inspector opportunities

Suffolk Constabulary has a number of vacancies for Chief Inspector and Detective Chief Inspectors  and is looking to recruit either substantive Chief Inspectors or suitably qualified Inspectors on promotion.

Suffolk Constabulary is currently delivering on a three-year strategic plan for 2020-2023 which sets out the operational and organisational priorities for the years ahead.  

This strategy and our Police and Crime Commissioners plan will ensure Suffolk Constabulary continues to focus on being an ever more efficient and resilient organisation, one that is equipped to deal with future challenges, deliver innovative solutions tailored to the circumstances of the county’s diverse communities and is transformational in its approach to preventing harm and promoting public confidence and trust in the service we provide.

We recognise that key to our success is developing excellent leaders throughout every level of our organisation.

Applications are invited from experienced Chief Inspectors and suitably qualified Inspectors who are ambitious and possess a genuine desire to be part of an exciting and forward-thinking organisation.

The successful candidate will focus on keeping people safe[CD1] , drive change across the police service, inspire partners and play a leading role in ensuring Suffolk’s communities flourish and become safer and stronger with improved opportunities and a better quality of life.

We are looking for inspirational leaders to join our team and help continue to place us at the forefront of policing. You will play a key role in developing teams and working with partners to enhance the Constabulary’s performance and provide an exceptional service to the people of Suffolk.

As a role model for the values of Suffolk Constabulary you will contribute to our continuing programme of transformation and demonstrate exemplary leadership in developing partnerships through the continuing journey. You will be expected to demonstrate suitability for the role by the competencies outlined in Suffolk Constabularies Leading with CARE principles:

Once you pass our selection processes we will complete pre-employment checks which consist of a force medical assessment, fitness test and vetting checks.
