Applications are invited for the above post in the Police Presenting Team based at Carmelite House.
The Police Presenting team are responsible for processing traffic matters listed for a magistrate’s court originating from the safety camera team, central ticket office and The Traffic Justice Unit.
The successful candidate will be part of a small team. Confidence to work on their own initiative is essential to support colleagues who are deployed at court across Norfolk and Suffolk, to collectively ensure hearings are effective.
Duties will include preparing court lists, resulting courts, obtaining driving records and witness unavailability, populating data into spreadsheets, sending court result letters to victims and witnesses, registering cases in Athena, answering telephone calls from defence lawyers and members of the public and transfer files electronically to partner agencies within strict time frames.

- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
- Competent keyboard skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven ability to prioritise and organise own workload to complete tasks within given deadlines
- Proven ability to consistently achieve accuracy and quality standards in administrative work
- Ability to work as an effective member of a team
- Previous experience of undertaking an administrative service
It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:
- Proven experience of working in a legal or police environment

Hours of work are 16 per week (Monday 6 hours, Tuesday 4 hours, Wednesday 6 hours). This post is offered on a permanent basis.
Consideration will be given to whether the post can be delivered on either a part time or job share basis, in line with the organisational requirements of this role.
