£28,725 - £32,673 per annum

Applications are invited for the above post in the Learning and Development Department at Hethersett Old Hall or PHQ and as a hybrid/homeworker.

The successful applicant will work directly with stakeholders to design and deliver creative and innovative learning solutions to improve knowledge, performance and service delivery.

Manage design projects as designated by the Blended Learning Manager including implementation of new digital learning technologies and undertake training commissioning and present proposals to stakeholders.

Deliver IT systems training.

It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Ability to implement learning design principles, especially blending multimedia and graphic elements that compliment user learning styles
  • Proven knowledge in producing engaging technology based learning and assessment materials using a wide range of tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Captivate, Articulate or other standard e-learning development tools
  • Expert in delivery of face to face IT systems training
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles and theories with the ability to apply these practically
  • Excellent written skills and attention to detail ensuring quality in the delivery of service
  • Ability to engage with complex and unfamiliar subject matter.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills to manage multiple projects and delivery against agreed deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with stakeholders
  • Positive approach to change and delivery of continuous improvement

It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Knowledge of police IT systems

Role profile: 

Hours of work are 37 per week Monday to Friday.  This post is offered on a temporary basis for 12 months.

Consideration will be given to whether the post can be delivered on either a part time or job share basis, in line with the organisational requirements of this role.
