Following the nominations for Suffolk HOPE Awards 2021/2022 Suffolk Police, in partnership with Suffolk County Council, are excited to announce the winners have been chosen.

We were thrilled to receive nominations in relation to more than 100 students across the county. Every one clearly represented The Suffolk Hope Award values and categories promoting diversity, acts of respect and kindness and had excellent demonstrations of teamwork and determination.

The panel this year represented Community Safety Partnerships …

  • Suffolk Constabulary DCC Rob Jones and Inspector Kirsty Graefe
  • Ipswich Community Safety Partnership Chair: Ipswich Borough Councillor Alasdair Ross
  • Suffolk High Sheriff: Edward Creasy
  • Suffolk FA: James Morley
  • Suffolk Guide Dogs Association: Emma Free
  • Outreach Youth: George Clark

Supported by SCC and Suffolk Police

Our HOPE panel have chosen winners in each of the categories for each academic key stage group.

This year, representatives of Suffolk Constabulary and our partners have been visiting our winning schools to present their awards during National Hate Crime Awareness Week earlier this month.

This annual campaign is a reminder for us all that we do not accept Hate in Suffolk. The school liaison team spent the week visiting schools and discussing hate crime awareness, including how to identify and report hate crime and how to support those who are victim of it. It ties in perfectly with the values of the HOPE Awards and gives us a great opportunity to discuss the positive action taken by our young community.

Our HOPE panel are proud to have chosen winners in each of the categories for each academic key stage group as follows:
