SafeCam
Suffolk SafeCam operates a number of mobile enforcement
vehicles, which are deployed geographically across the county of
Suffolk.
Since its introduction in 2003, the Suffolk Safety Camera
operation has contributed to the reduction of road casualties and
collisions throughout the county.
Sites for enforcement are identified in a number of ways. This
can include looking at causes of collisions, issues concerning road
safety, and analysis of traffic speed data, which indicates if
there is a problem with speeding in a particular location.
We also work closely with our Safer Neighbourhood Teams
throughout Suffolk who help us to identify locations to visit,
telling us where the problems are.
Please see our Frequently Asked Questions page for more
information about SafeCam
If you think a particular location may benefit from speed
enforcement, because you are concerned about speeding or accidents,
you can do the following:
- Contact your Parish Council and ask them to raise it at their
next meeting with local police.
- Contact your local Safer Neighbourhood Team directly.
- Attend one of the many public forums hosted by your Safer
Neighbourhood Team within your local area.
