• Felixstowe & District Safer Neighbourhood Team is located in the Suffolk Coastal District
• Felixstowe has the largest container port in the country which services shipping from around the world
• The South ward area of Felixstowe consists mainly of the seafront area; there are the usual seaside attractions, pubs, clubs and other associated businesses
• At the southern most point of the ward are Landguard Fort and a nature reserve. The Fort dates back to 1667 and is a growing tourist attraction run by the Landguard Fort trust and English Heritage
• The Felixstowe SNT also takes in the rural villages of Bucklesham, Brightwell, Falkenham, Foxhall, Hemley, Kirton, Levington, Nacton, Newbourne, Trimley St Martin, Trimley St Mary & Waldringfield
• The port, tourism, farming and market gardening are all important industries in the area
