Key Facts

• The Babergh East Safer Neighbourhood Team Area comprises the twelve electoral wards of Alton, Berners, Brook, Dodnash, Holbrook, Mid Samford, Pinewood, South Cosford, Lower Brett, Nayland, Hadleigh North and Hadleigh South and incorporates 38 parishes plus Hadleigh Town..
• The team is based out of Hadleigh and Capel St. Mary police stations. Capel is set off the A12, and is effectively a ‘dormitory town’ a few miles south of Ipswich. There are local shops but no great retail development.
• Hadleigh is a large market Town that has a wealth of local shops and industrial areas, the main one being situated on Lady Lane Industrial Estate. The current population is around 8,500 but continues to grow with new housing developments planned in the near future.
