About Safer Neighbourhoods
Suffolk Police has 29 Safer Neighbourhood teams (SNTs), which
are busy working in the heart of local communities to tackle
policing issues that mean most to you.
The aims of Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNTs) are to:
- Listen to you and identify your concerns.
- Work together to tackle the issues you have identified.
- Keeping you informed of our progress.
To achieve this, Suffolk Police work in partnership with
councils and other organisations to deliver a service that is
visible, accessible and responsive to what local people need.
Each team holds community priority setting meetings, which are
attended by the local police, county, district and parish
councillors, as well as our partners from health and educational
organisations.
Issues addressed by local people are discussed at these
meetings, and the top three priorities that need to be tackled are
selected.
Each team is committed to keeping you updated on progress
related to priorities in your local policing area, which they do in
a number of ways, including regular updates on their local website
pages.
