Two arrested in Ipswich murder case

A 21-year-old man from Ipswich, has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Chesterton Close, Ipswich.

Police were called to flats in the road at 4.52am on Saturday 22 October. A 43-year-old man, who police can today name as Lee Jackson of Chesterton Close, Ipswich was pronounced deceased at the scene. A post mortem examination found the cause of death to be shock caused by blood loss as a result of being assaulted with a knife.

Sebastian Kornjaca, an electrical engineer of St Anthonys Cresent, Ipswich was arrested on Saturday  morning and taken to the Ipswich Police Investigation Centre. He has since been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon and is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow morning, Tuesday 25 October 2011.

A man, arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder following the death of a man in Chesterton Close, Ipswich early yesterday morning, Saturday 22 October 2011, has been released on police bail.

The 22-year-old from Ipswich must return to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on 5 December.

A 21-year-old man from Ipswich, arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody.

Police were called to flats in Chesterton Close at 4.52am yesterday. A 43-year-old man from Ipswich was pronounced deceased at the scene. Formal identification has taken place and police are in the process of informing next of kin. A post mortem examination found the cause of death to be shock caused by blood loss as a result of being assaulted with a knife.

Searches by forensic and search officers at an area cordoned off at Chesterton Close are ongoing, as inquiries continue.

Police continue to question two men following the death of a man in Chesterton Close, Ipswich early yesterday morning, Saturday 22 October 2011.

Police were called to flats at 4.52am yesterday. A man, believed to be 43-years-old and local, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A post mortem examination has been carried out, and the cause of death was found to be shock caused by blood loss as a result of being assaulted with a knife. Formal identification has yet to take place.

Yesterday, a 21-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of murder and a 22-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. Both remain in custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre this morning, Sunday 23 October. A superintendent has authorised the detention of the 21-year-old man for a further 12 hours.

Searches by forensic and search officers at an area cordoned off at Chesterton Close are ongoing, as inquiries continue.

A second man has been arrested following the death of a man in Chesterton Close, Ipswich earlier this morning, Saturday 22 October 2011.

The 22-year-old man from Ipswich has been detained on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, and has been taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

A 21-year-old man from Ipswich, arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in custody at the Martlesham PIC this evening.

A post mortem examination is taking place later as inquiries into the death of the man, believed to be a 43-year-old from Ipswich, continue.

Officers want to speak to anyone who was in the area of Chesterton Close early this morning and may have seen or heard anything which may assist the inquiry. Calls should be made to the Suffolk and Norfolk Joint Major Investigation Team on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police are continuing to carry out inquiries in Chesterton Close, Ipswich following the death of a man at flats there earlier this morning, Saturday 22 October 2011.

Police were called at 4.52am, and a man, believed to be a 43-year-old from the town, was pronounced deceased at the flats. A post mortem examination is due to be carried out this evening.

A 21-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, he remains in custody this afternoon.

A cordon remains in place on Chesterton Close, with forensic and search officers continuing to search the area as detectives seek to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.

Officers want to speak to anyone who was in the area early this morning and may have seen or heard anything which may assist the inquiry. Calls should be made to the Suffolk and Norfolk Joint Major Investigation Team on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police were called to flats on Chesterton Close at 4.52am. A man, believed to be a 43-year-old from the town, was pronounced deceased at the flats. A 21-year-old man from Ipswich has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has been taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

A cordon is in place at the flats on Chesterton Close whilst inquiries continue.
