Lowestoft collision appeal
9 December 2011
Police are appealing for witnesses after a fail-to-stop road
traffic collision in Lowestoft.
The incident happened on the approach to the north end of the
Bascule Bridge at around 7.45am on Wednesday, 7 December.
A red Vauxhall Astra was being driven on the approach to the
bridge from the Denmark Road direction heading south, when a
white van cut in front of the Vauxhall.
The Vauxhall driver took evasive action and bumped up onto the
kerb, causing damage to his vehicle. The van didn't stop and
continued up Parade Road North.
Police would like to trace the driver of a white van, and are
asking anyone who saw the incident to call PC 1705 Dines at
Lowestoft on 101.
