overnight in Ipswich.
The first incident occurred last night, Friday 15 February in
Roanoke Walk. At around 11pm the victim’s doorbell rang, he notices
a figure at the door wearing a bobble hat but did not answer
it.
Ten minutes later the victim was upstairs when he heard a voice
inside the property. He then saw a black male carrying what
appeared to be a silver pipe, so he shouted at him and chased him
from the house. The offender ran out via a rear door and was then
seen running away with a man wearing a bobble hat and possibly
another man.

and of slim build.
The man inside the property is described as black, around 5ft
7ins tall, of medium build and wearing a black woolly hat, a scarf
covering the bottom half of his face, a black long sleeved puffer
jacket and dark jeans.
The second incident occurred at around 5am this morning,
Saturday 16 February in Orford Street. An offender has smashed a
glass pane of the front door to a residential property. They have
then entered the property and made a search of a study before
walking upstairs and being seen by one of the residents and chased
out of the house.
A video camera, digital camera and a laptop were stolen from
within.
The offender is described as a white man, between 5ft 9ins – 6ft
tall, in his twenties or thirties, of medium build, with a
well-defined straight nose and stubble. He was wearing a thick
black woollen beanie hat, a shiny black waist length puffer jacket
and dark trousers.
Police are looking at the possibility that the two crimes are
linked.

incidents are asked to contact Ipswich Police on
