Rape appeal, Ipswich
22 December 2012
Police are appealing for information after a 24-year-old woman
reported being raped in an alleyway at Upper Brook Street in
Ipswich.
The woman was waiting for friends outside a public house in
Upper Brook Street around 11.30pm last night, Friday 21 December
and became engaged in conversation with a man,
described as black, in his late 20s to 30s, of muscular build,
around 5ft 9ins tall, with short black Afro hair and a
moustache, who was wearing a coat and dark blue jeans.
They then walked together in the direction of Sainsburys and
went into the alleyway where the man raped the 24-year-old. He then
left towards the Cox Lane car park where he got into a small car
which then drove away.
Police need to trace the man and also need to hear from anyone
who was in the area around this time last night as they may have
information that can help the enquiry.
If you can help please call DC Andrew Dibbs at Ipswich on
101.
