Haverhill man jailed for drug and knife offences

A man has been jailed for four months for knife and drug offences in Bury St Edmunds.

29 year old Jordan Carr of no fixed abode and from the Haverhill area was convicted after he pleaded guilty to two offences on Friday at Ipswich Magistrates Court to possession of a knife and being in possession of class B drugs.

Officers had reason to stop him in the town on Thursday 21 March on Westley Road where he was arrested.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and he was subsequently charged with possession of cannabis and possession of a knife.

He was remanded overnight and appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Friday morning (22 March) when he was given a four month jail sentence.
