Beccles - Appeal after cyclist is seriously injured

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was injured in a serious road traffic collision in Beccles.

The incident took place yesterday, Wednesday 13 March at around 3.25pm on Ellough Road near to the junction of Codlins Road. Police were called to reports of a collision involving a bicycle and a parked silver Volswagen Golf car. The cyclist, a woman in her 50s, sustained a serious head injury and was taken by Air Ambulance to hospital. She remains in a serious condition at Addenbrooke’s Hospital at this time.

Witnesses or anybody who may have any relevant dash-cam footage are asked to call PC Jonathan Carr from the Roads and Armed Policing Team on 101 quoting reference CAD 375 of 13 March.
