Robbery in Stowmarket

Police officer

Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery that took place in Stowmarket.

It happened on Friday 5 April at about 8.30pm on Pike’s Meadow near Needham Road in Stowmarket.

The victim, a male in his 20s, was walking across Pikes Meadow when he was approached by four males all dressed in black with their faces covered. One of the four, who was wearing a balaclava, eye goggles, gloves, a Nike air hooded jumper made verbal demands to him to hand over his wallet. Whilst this was taking place the victim believes he saw the male pull a blade out of his pocket which looked like a kitchen knife. The victim felt threatened so handed over cash before the offenders fled the scene on pedal bikes.
