online), job centres and local newspapers as all our vacancies are
advertised there.
No, you need to see a vacancy and then apply for it. On
occasions, when there is more than one position vacant, successful
applicants are kept on a waiting list and are given a start date as
soon as a post becomes available.
No, we do not accept CVs on their own. All candidates should
request and fill in an application form for specific vacancies. CVs
are accepted only if enclosed with the application form.
No, it is important that you fill in a new form for each
position you are interested in. An old or previous form might not
be relevant to the post you wish to apply for. There are job
descriptions and person specifications for each post and they are
all different and relevant to that specific post. You are advised
to address the criteria enclosed in the person specification.
It is also important that you provide the most up to date
information in the application form.
Due to the number of applications received, the Suffolk
Constabulary has a policy of not providing feedback. You can be
assured that the utmost consideration is given to each individual
application before making any decision. Remember that you are
competing with other applicants - make sure you give us as much
information as possible.
