There are a number of ways you can get in touch with Suffolk Constabulary depending on the urgency and type of request.


By telephoneIn an emergency always dial 999

If you are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired you can register your mobile phone with emergencySMS which will let you send an SMS text message to the UK 999 service where it will be passed to the police.

The new telephone number for non emergency calls is 101 -

Calls to 101 (from both landlines and mobiles) cost 15 pence per call no matter what time of day you call, or how long you are on the phone.

(Please note: International callers, and those in the UK residing outside of England and Wales, should call 01473 613 500)

The alternative non emergency number is 01473 613500

If you are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired you can textphone 18001 101. If you have difficulty speaking English, your local police can access interpreters who can translate your call.
