Your right to information

In this section you can find out what information you are entitled to and what rights you have as a member of the public.

  • Freedom of Information

    The Freedom of Information Act was introduced to all Public Authorities enabling them to adopt a culture of openness and transparency.

  • Data Protection

    The Data Protection Act provides guidance on how information is used, in addition to giving individuals rights.

  • Publication Scheme

    Under the Freedom of Information Act all public authorities are required to publish information pro-actively, following a model scheme.
