complete the shotgun certificate application
form. Please print out the form, fill it in and then
have it counter signed before posting it to:
Firearm Licensing Unit
The fee for a shotgun certificate is £50 and cheques/postal
orders should be made payable to Suffolk Constabulary. Please also
enclose four passport-style photographs.
If you are applying for a shotgun certificate and a firearm
certificate together, known as coterminous certificates, the fee
for the shotgun certificate will be £10.

When applying for a shotgun certificate you should have gained
the permission of one person to act as a referee for you. You must
complete part F(i) with their details.
We will deal with your application as quickly as possible. Our
target is 30 working days. However, you will appreciate we have to
consider these matters very carefully and have a number of
