Suffolk Constabulary's Western Area stretches from Mid
Suffolk to the county's borders with Essex and Cambridgeshire. It
includes the towns of Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Stowmarket,
Mildenhall, Brandon and Haverhill.
The area also extends to include the towns of Sudbury and
Hadleigh.
The busy A14 - Suffolk's link to the West - runs through this area
- and Bury St Edmunds Police Station is base to the area's traffic
unit.
